How we run every project

  1. Site visit and brief

    We come to the property, measure up and talk through what you want, what the building allows and what it is likely to cost.

  2. Itemised quotation

    You get a written quote broken down by stage, so you can see exactly what is included before anything is agreed.

  3. Drawings and approvals

    We work with architects, engineers and building control, and handle planning or permitted-development paperwork with you.

  4. Build and weekly updates

    One site manager runs every trade to an agreed programme, and you hear from us every week while the work is live.

  5. Sign-off and aftercare

    We walk the finished job with you, clear the snagging list, hand over certificates and stay reachable afterwards.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we are often asked

Planning permission and approvals

Often you do not, because many extensions and loft conversions fall under permitted development. We check that for your property at the first visit, and if a planning application is needed we tell you straight away and handle it with our architect.

How long our projects take

A single-storey extension is usually 10 to 14 weeks on site and a loft conversion 8 to 10 weeks, depending on approvals and materials. We give you a written programme before we start and tell you as soon as anything on it moves.

Living at home while we build

Most of our clients do stay. We plan the sequence so the kitchen and a bathroom stay usable for as long as possible, sheet up dust barriers and clear the site at the end of each day.

How our payments work

We work in stage payments tied to completed work, set out in the quotation before you commit. There is no large deposit up front, and the final payment is only due once you are happy with the snagging list.

Our insurance and guarantees

Yes. We carry full public liability insurance and our work is vetted through the FMB, TrustMark, Buy With Confidence and Checkatrade. You get the relevant building control and trade certificates at handover.
