Location: Ringwood
Property Type: Residential Property
Services Provided: Extension, Structural Alterations, Internal Reconfiguration

The Brief

The client approached Prem Build to assist with extending the property and carrying out structural alterations to improve flow and usability. A key requirement was to open up the ground floor living areas, replacing the previously cramped layout with a more open and functional family space. Additional bedroom space was also required at first floor level.

Planning & Pre Construction

Prior to starting work, we consulted with the appointed architects and worked closely with both the architect and client to develop a design that met the brief. Once the layout and appearance were agreed, a detailed quotation was provided and approved before work commenced.

The Build

Works began with extension and structural alteration works to open up the ground floor layout. The kitchen was extended to create a larger and more practical space for family use, improving circulation and natural light throughout the space.

Structural changes were also carried out to allow for a larger entrance hall and improved access across the ground floor.

Internal Works & Finishes

As part of the internal reconfiguration, the following features were incorporated:

  • Large entrance hall
  • New oak and glass staircase
  • Modernised front entrance

At first floor level, an extension was constructed to the rear of the property to create two additional bedrooms. One of these was designed as a master bedroom, complete with a dressing area, white glass wardrobes and drawers, and an ensuite bathroom.

External Works

The rear elevation was finished with cedar cladding and a frameless glass balcony. These elements provided a modern finish and complemented the updated internal layout.

The Result

The completed works delivered a more spacious and functional family home, with improved flow, additional bedrooms, and a modernised appearance that aligned with the client’s original objectives.
